The coffee is Turihamwe, a Burundi blend whose name means \"together,\" produced by women coffee farmers in Burundi and chosen because Burundi coffees are among the cleanest and sweetest in the world, a match for the dense stout underneath. The base beer is the same Bourbon County imperial stout, brewed with Millennium hops and aged in bourbon barrels before the coffee goes in. It's bottled at 13.2% ABV. Goose Island's official notes are rich chocolate, coffee and caramel: roasted coffee layered over the chocolate and caramel depth of the barrel-aged stout.
